About me
I am a fully trained funeral celebrant serving the West Coast of Scotland, offering personalised ceremonies that celebrate life. My role is to honour your story with care, craft, and compassion, and to ensure that whatever moment you’re marking feels meaningful, personal, and held with dignity.
Born and bred on the Clyde, I’ve always believed in the strength of community, the value of service, and the importance of standing beside people when it matters most. After more than 30 years serving in the Royal Navy, I bring the same steadiness, professionalism, and quiet reliability to my work as a celebrant. A lifetime at sea teaches you many things: calm under pressure, respect for every individual, and the ability to guide others through moments of significance with clarity and dignity.
I’m also a dad to two wonderful children with additional needs, and that part of my life has shaped me just as deeply. It’s taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of meeting people exactly where they are. It’s shown me how every family carries its own story, its own challenges, and its own triumphs, and how vital it is to create spaces where people feel understood, supported, and truly seen.
Whether I’m helping a family say farewell, celebrating a new beginning, or marking a milestone filled with joy, I hope I bring warmth and a steady hand.
The service.

I tailor ceremonies to reflect the beliefs, memories and values of your family.

Every detail, from readings to music, is chosen with care to honour your loved one uniquely.
